In SX2, Championship leader Max Anstie delivered under pressure to secure Superpole and place himself firmly in control heading into the decisive night of racing.
The British rider had been narrowly beaten in qualifying by defending champion Shane McElrath, but responded in Superpole with a composed lap that edged him ahead when the positions were reset.
Anstie’s Superpole performance reinforces his consistency throughout the season and gives him a crucial advantage as he looks to convert his points lead into a world title.
McElrath remained close throughout the session, ensuring the fight is far from over, while Cole Thompson continued his strong form with another assured performance near the front.
Enzo Lopes, who had shown impressive speed earlier in the day, was left frustrated after an error during his Superpole lap saw him run off track and fail to register a time, forcing him to face an uphill challenge in the races to come.
Earlier in SX2 qualifying, the margins at the top had been razor-thin, underlining just how intense the final round has become, with the leading contenders separated by little more than tenths across the session.
In the SX1 class, qualifying set the tone for a wide-open Superpole shootout, with Jason Anderson leading the way ahead of Christian Craig and Joey Savatgy, as all three title protagonists positioned themselves near the front.
When it came time for Superpole, however, it was Savatgy who rose to the occasion. Despite a lap that was aggressive and untidy in places, the American delivered the outright speed required to secure Superpole for the third consecutive round, underlining his late-season momentum.
Craig remained firmly in the hunt with a strong Superpole lap of his own, while Luke Clout impressed once again with his pace as he continues to settle into the WSX format.
Anderson, meanwhile, suffered a costly mistake on his final Superpole lap, dropping him back and adding another layer of intrigue to the championship showdown.
With Superpole complete, the stage is now set for a thrilling finale, as grid positions are locked in and the 2025 World Supercross champions prepare to be crowned under the lights in South Africa.
