Deegan Down Under

Haiden Deegan returns for his second appearance in the World Supercross Championship in the SX1 class. Deegan, who made his international racing debut in Round 1 at the Buenos Aires City GP, will get another chance to battle with the big boys in the 450cc category. The American racer arrived on the Gold Coast earlier this week and has been taking in the sights. He has attracted plenty of attention and fans in the Cbus Stadium will be eager to get sight of him as he faces another test.

Tomac vs Roczen vs Webb vs Anderson

The line-up is stocked full of talent as some of the best riders on the planet compete for bragging rights. Eli Tomac shone last time out in his debut for KTM. The defending world supercross champion was pushed hard by Ken Roczen, riding for Pipes Motorsport Group. Jason Anderson is finding his feet in this year’s series while Cooper Webb is making his one and only wildcard appearance in what is a scintillating line-up.

Causing a Schock

Cody Schock has been a revelation this season and turned in some excellent performances in the SX2 category. Until now, Max Anstie looks a little out of touch, going 1-1-1 in both Round 1 and Round 2 to sit comfortably at the top of the leaderboard. But Schock is in good form and would love to put a blemish on Anstie’s record. The Rick Ware Racer recently spoke about getting enough sleep – he’ll have to conquer the jet lag, but he should still be considered a threat.

A packed house at the Cbus Stadium

Prepare for an electric atmosphere on the Gold Coast. Tickets are selling fast, so don’t forget to get yours here. It will be an unforgettable night with some stellar supercross stars. The stadium is located in Robina on the Gold Coast, approximately 80 kilometres south of Brisbane CBD, and 15 kilometres from Coolangatta Airport. Public transport is the best way to get to Cbus Super Stadium. Don’t miss it.

A close battle in the team’s championship

The top three teams are separated by just 14 points in an incredibly tight battle. Australian team Quad Lock Honda, led by Yarrive Konsky, are the defending champions and currently sit at the top of the rankings. Pipes Motorsport Group, however, are just four points behind them, while Rick Ware Racing are a further 10 points back. It is still all to play for.
