On October 23rd, Popkum Motor Park was transformed into a playground for adrenaline seekers as World Supercross hosted an exclusive “Learn-to-Ride” experience. The event invited participants to step off the sidelines and onto the track, giving them a completely new appreciation for the skill, strength, and thrill that defines Supercross.

Attendees geared up head-to-toe in professional-grade protective equipment, mounted premium dirt bikes, and hit the dirt under the expert guidance of certified instructors. Many had never ridden before, but within minutes, they were carving lines and kicking up dust with smiles that matched the roar of their engines.

Between laps, content creation zones offered the perfect backdrop for photos, reels, and behind-the-scenes storytelling, capturing the essence of Supercross through the eyes (and GoPros) of first-time riders.

Feeling the throttle, hitting those bumps, it’s a rush you just can’t describe until you try it,” said Jill Tracy from She’s Got Next. “You walk away with a whole new respect for the athletes who make it look effortless.”

The energy at Popkum was contagious, a mix of excitement, curiosity, and pure fun. The event not only built anticipation for Supercross Vancouver on November 15th at BC Place, but also bridged the gap between fans and the sport, offering an immersive introduction to the world’s most dynamic form of motorcycle racing.

“We were blown away by how quickly the media picked it up,” said Scott Ponuick, Marketing and Promotions Manager at Popkum Motor Park, who oversaw the day’s instruction.

“Most of them had never even been on a dirt bike before, but by the end they were riding confidently and really getting a feel for what makes Supercross so thrilling. It was incredible to see that transformation firsthand.”

Now, with the countdown officially on to November 15th, the buzz from Popkum is only fuelling the excitement. If the passion, energy, and fearless fun from the “Learn-to-Ride” day are any indication, fans can expect an unforgettable night when the world’s best riders take over BC Place for Supercross Vancouver.
