With Queensland teams taking out the AFL and NRL premierships, the State has once again cemented itself as the beating heart of Australian sport—and the FIM World Supercross Australian GP is set to add yet another world-class event to its growing calendar.
“Queensland is absolutely flying right now, from footy to motorsport, we’re showing the rest of the country how it’s done,” said Parker. “The energy around sport in Queensland is incredible, and having World Supercross come right here to the Gold Coast just makes sense. It’s world-class action in the best place in the country.”

“I’m absolutely stoked to bring my love of motorsport and World Supercross to the Australian stage,” Parker added. “I’m a huge fan of the championship, and the skill, speed and atmosphere is just unreal. To see it all come to life in my home State is pretty special.”
“My little ones now ride, so we are surrounded by dirt bikes every day. There really feels like no better way to sign off the 2025 sporting calendar in Queensland than with this elite global championship.”
The Gold Coast race will be the third stop of the 2025 World Supercross Championship, bringing the world’s best riders and teams to Australia for a weekend of racing, entertainment and high-octane fan experience.
Tom Burwell, World Supercross CEO, said hosting the Australian GP on the Gold Coast was a natural choice, with Queensland now cemented as the nation’s sporting epicentre.
“Queensland is leading the way when it comes to sport—that’s evident from the last two weekends of footy in Australia. It’s a State that lives and breathes competition, and the energy is unmatched. Choosing to bring the best riders in the world to the Gold Coast just feels right.”

“Queensland has proven time and again that it knows how to deliver world-class events, and Australia looks ahead towards the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games, it’s only fitting that we add World Supercross to that fast-growing sporting story,” he continues.
“We are absolutely thrilled to have Corey on board as an ambassador. He is an icon of the State, a Queensland great, a proud local and someone who lives and breathes supercross. We can’t wait to see what he brings to life for the Australian GP.”
Fans can get their hands on a variety of ticket packages, including designated family zones, general admission, premium, hospitality, and more. Full details and event schedule are coming soon.
In the SX1 class, international star Jason Anderson will compete for the championship against the likes of Justin Hill and Joey Savatgy. The SX2 class is set for a major showdown as Max Anstie returns to challenge last year’s champion, Shane McElrath, for the title.
The season will also see the return of former World Champion Ken Roczen, with special wildcard appearances from elite riders Eli Tomac and Cooper Webb, all coming to the Gold Coast. This strong roster sets the stage for what is expected to be a highly competitive and exciting season.
