McMahon Stadium
Taking place at McMahon Stadium on Saturday, August 8, 2026, the Canadian GP will mark the Championship’s first-ever visit to Calgary and the third consecutive year that Canada has hosted a round of the global series.
Fans across Alberta and Western Canada are expected to descend on the city as some of the biggest names in international supercross go bar-to-bar in what promises to be one of the most exciting events in Calgary this summer.
The Canadian GP is Round One, with riders battling for the first championship points of the year in both the SX1 and SX2 categories. A purpose-built dirt track will transform McMahon Stadium into a high-intensity supercross arena featuring rhythm sections, tight corners and massive jumps designed specifically for elite racing.
Tourism Calgary is backing the event, with Vice President of Sales Carson Ackroyd describing the season opener as a major opportunity for the city.
“Having Calgary be the first stop for the 2026 World Supercross season, while also hosting the championship here for the very first time, is a huge moment for the city. This is an event made for Calgarians, packed with adrenaline, family fun and energy.”
