Harrison and Anstie Win Rider of the Round for Canadian GP

Venum Bud Racing Kawasaki rider Harrison was fourth in the opening Sprint Race 1 in the SX1 class and sixth in Sprint Race 2 to finish fifth overall on the night in Calgary after the final race was cut short due to a storm.

Harrison, who came up through the U.S. amateur ranks as one of the standout young talents, has raced for several respected teams in both supercross and motocross, building a reputation as a rider who is skilled, adaptable, and capable of strong results when he finds his rhythm.

He said: “I am super happy winning Rider of the Round. I want to thank everyone who voted for me! Such a cool thing to win. I had a great night. Thanks World Supercross for a great Round!”

Meanwhile, Anstie, who is out to defend his SX2 title, got off to a great start, wining both Sprint Races and the Main Event to take the maximum points haul.

The British rider, who was also making his debut for his new team, Rick Ware Racing, says he hopes to win the prize again in his home GP—the British GP in Birmingham on October 10th.

He added: “I am pumped! I need it, so happy days. It’s awesome of course. Good racing, so let’s bring on Birmingham.

“Dean Wilson also has a big fanbase there in the UK too, so we will see.”
