The Rick Ware Racing rider was the quickest around the McMahon Stadium to set an early benchmark at the season-opener.

Justin Hill, who had a disappointing campaign in 2025 and is out for an improvement in ’26 and heads the filed in the SX1 class from his teammate, Cooper Webb.

Defending champion Jason Anderson, who was is making his first start since March, was third quickest, narrowly ahead of Dean Wilson, who is making his return to Calgary.

Wilson, who was born in Scotland, moved to the Canadian city as a boy, and honed his skills on the local tracks. Greg Aranda, who was fifth in the timesheets, put in an encouraging first run for new team, 595 Racing.

In SX2, Devin Simonson made it a clean sweep for Rick Ware Racing but topping the times ahead of Canadian rider, Cole Thompson.

Cameron McAdoo, who is making his debut in the World Supercross Championship, was third quickest while last year’s champion Max Anstie was fourth.
