A total of 32 riders will compete across the SX1 and SX2 classes, representing nine countries: the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain, France, Germany, Spain, Brazil and Canada. Nearly half of the confirmed championship roster comes from outside the United States, underlining the continued global growth of the sport and World Supercross’ role in bringing elite riders, teams and fans together on an international stage.
The 2026 season will begin in Calgary on 8 August, with the championship field combining reigning world champions, proven international race winners, returning contenders, championship debutants and emerging talent from across the globe.
A global field for the 2026 season
The confirmed line-up reflects the depth of competition set to feature throughout the 2026 World Supercross Championship. With riders representing nine nations across both championship classes, the field brings a broad mix of experience, styles and racing backgrounds to the global calendar.
While the full-season roster is now in place, additional wildcard riders for selected rounds will be announced during the season. These entries will add further depth to the gates while creating opportunities for local interest and regional talent at events around the world.
The diverse 2026 roster continues the championship’s commitment to providing a competitive global platform for riders and teams, while showcasing supercross to audiences in key international markets.
Defending champions lead a stacked SX1 and SX2 roster
Defending SX1 World Champion Jason Anderson returns to lead the premier-class contenders, while defending SX2 World Champion Max Anstie will look to retain his title against another highly competitive field.
They are joined by an established group of international race winners and leading supercross names, including Cooper Webb, Joey Savatgy, Christian Craig, Justin Hill, Colt Nichols, Jorge Zaragoza, Vince Friese, Enzo Lopes, Henry Miller and Devin Simonson.
Across SX1 and SX2, the championship will once again provide a stage for riders at different points in their careers: established champions chasing further success, experienced racers targeting podiums and wins, and emerging talent seeking to make an impact at world championship level.
Connolly and McAdoo set for SX2
Among the latest rider confirmations, KMG (Konsky Motorsport Group) has announced New Zealand’s Brodie Connolly in SX2, with Cameron McAdoo also named as the team’s second SX2 rider, replacing Shane McElrath.
The additions strengthen an already competitive SX2 field and add further international representation to the championship. Connolly’s inclusion also brings another New Zealand rider into a season that will feature competitors from across Oceania, Europe, North America and South America.
Countdown begins for Calgary opener
With the 2026 World Supercross Championship rider line-up now confirmed, attention turns to Calgary, where the season gets underway on 8 August at the McMahon Stadium.
