For Kyrillos and his Brazilian-based 595 Racing team, stepping onto the World Supercross Championship starting gate is the culmination of years of growth, persistence and ambition competing in his homeland.
Now, faced with the scintillating prospect of races in neighbouring Argentina, plus further away in Canada, the UK, Australia and South Africa, Kyrillos is relishing the international challenge.
“Being from Brazil, we are far away from all the races,” 595 Team Principal Kyrillos explains. “Buenos Aires is a little bit closer, but imagine going to Australia—it’s almost a two-day trip. It’s crazy.
“Brazil is a huge country, so our nationals are like racing MXGP,” he says. “It’s almost a world championship going from the north to south of Brazil. The closest race we have is maybe eight hours’ drive from our base.
“In Brazil, we have our own structure. We go with semis and vans, so we feel at home because that’s what we’re used to,” he says. “Now for the first time in World Supercross, everything is new for us.”

Backed by KTM, driven by ambition
For a team that has already tasted success domestically, 595 Racing were confirmed as part of the 2026 World Supercross Championship, and represents a milestone unlike any other.
“I feel that’s our biggest achievement right now,” Kyrillos says. “We have a couple of championships here in Brazil, but being part of such a selected group of teams racing such an important event like World Supercross, that’s our biggest accomplishment.
“I think that proves all the hard work we’ve been doing and how serious we take our job,” he adds. “When we first talked with KTM about entering the championship, they were so pumped.
The team races as the official KTM outfit in Brazil, with a level of support that’s helped bridge the gap to international competition.
“We don’t use the same engines as the guys from the US or MXGP, but we have a semi-factory engine that helps us a lot,” he explains.
It’s not about having everything but it’s about making the most of what they have, and that’s been the theme from the start.
